Eco friendly printing substrate
At Abarna, we prefer to use eco friendly substrate as our printing media and we seek the support of our customers to emphasis this movement towards socially responsible printing and packaging.
Be it the tree free papers or the FSC certified or the GRS certified papers, We have our qualified and certified suppliers to supply as per the requirements. We will also share those certifications for our clients to claim the eco friendliness for the products what we supply.
Vegetable oil based inks
The printing industry revolves around paper and ink, being the most important factors, which decides the output. Selecting an eco-friendly ink is as important as selecting sustainable paper for printing. Hence in Abarna, we use vegetable oil-based inks for printing our sustainable product portfolio. We also are into doing research in finding other ink like the Algae based one as a sustainable substitute for conventional inks. Even though there are some hurdles in production and lead time by using the eco-friendly materials, we are continuously evolving through understanding and finding ways to tackle those challenges.
We use Heidelberg CX75 Machine as our prime printing machine which is carbon Neutral Certified.
Waste Management for a safer environment
We understand that sustainable printing means safe and environmentally friendly means of managing the wastes and by products.
We have functional ETP plant in our premises for treating waste water resulting from cleaning process in printing.
Also, we have partnered with certified waste management team to dispose the slurry / ink wastes which is a by-product or waste after the printing process.
In our factory, we focus on reuse / recycling of the paper waste and hence we collect those wastes, keep them separately based on different categories and had formed an agreement with the paper manufacturer for recycling those wastes and recreate the papers for printing.

Paper as a substitute for plastic in Textile packaging
At Abarna we have perfected the shirt packing trims / Hangers / Hooks in paper boards which are GRS certified as a step in helping customers reduce the use of plastic in their packing trims.
